Sherlock Holmes Puzzle: Count the Relatives

Difficulty Level

Holmes, Miss Kutcher and Dr. Jane were having lunch together.

Miss Kutcher, very talkative, kept telling about her family back home as three of them ate.

Just then, Jane asked Kutcher about the number of brothers and sisters she has.

She quickly replied that in her family each female has equal number of sisters and brothers, however each boy has twice as many as sisters as brothers.

While Jane got extremely confused, witty Holmes was able to tell just exactly how many girls and boys were in Miss Kutcher's family.
